santa fe school district improvements

school district
$3.5m bond issue

  • re-roof
  • facade update
  • hvac replacement
  • sloped roof retrofit

A rural school district serving four towns with two buildings needed to take care of the buildings they have. Years of roof issues had lead to leaks, damage and frustration. The District wanted to install a roof system that would last for years, limit their potential to leaks and provide an aesthetic upgrade to their aged buildings. They trusted Veritas to aid with design and selection of a retro-fit standing-seam roof system that would accomplish all of these goals.

Additional work was performed at both the elementary school and high school. HVAC improvements were needed at both buildings, including new fresh-air units. The exterior walls of the elementary school were stripped down to structure and replaced with new metal panels and insulated windows. Ceiling tile and paint were added throughout the interior.

This project was truly a community event. The administration, construction manager (Axis Construction Group), and Veritas worked together to help the district get as much as they could from their bond dollars. Santa Fe Schools superintendent, Derek Lark devoted himself to getting extra tasks taken care of by a crew of high school students
